We are thrilled to announce that Nora is a winner of Shopify’s Build a Business competition!
Up against thousands of new businesses created on Shopify within an 8 month period last year, Nora was chosen as one of only 5 winning companies. Co-founders of Nora will receive a week-long mentorship and one-on-one advice from renowned entrepreneurs including Fubu founder and Shark Tank’s Daymond John; Def Jam Records Co-Founder Russell Simmons; The 4-Hour Workweek author, Tim Ferriss; the CEO Whisperer, Tony Robbins, digital education founder and serial entrepreneur, Marie Forleo; founder of the rule-breaking entertainment agency Atom Factory, Troy Carter; President of the NYSE, Tom Farley, CEO of CNBC, Mark Hoffman; and Shopify’s CEO, Tobi Lutke. The week will start at the New York Stock Exchange where the winning companies will ring the Opening Bell, be interviewed by CNBC, then head to Oheka Castle, otherwise known as the Gatsby Mansion.
As we look ahead to the next few months and get ready for shipping Nora to you, we are grateful to our community and proud to be making great progress. You have chosen to add Nora to the most private space in your home, and we cherish that. Shipping a hardware product is an absolutely exciting moment and a big step for any startup. We are constantly working to make every part of your experience outstanding. We are as much focused on building a great product as we are on building a healthy startup that will learn from you, support your experience, and grow.
Congratulations to the 4 other winners in the other categories, including Carbon 6 for jewelry, Happy Trunk Apparel for apparels, and iSwegway. We are excited to be meet them in August at Oheka!
